I have just received word that the carriage containing Elizabeth and Maria has departed! Finally, I can relax. The only people here at Rosings is myself, Anne, and a few servants. Oh there is peace! I have heard word that I was mentioned by Elizabeth because I am doing such a great job of taking care of Mrs. Collins. Dear, I know I am doing a great job, thank you. There is no need to point out the obvious.
It is only a matter of hours before they are completely out of Kent.
I do believe I am done writing for today, so until next time, the lady has spoken.

Ah Lady Catherine you must be more than happy to know everyone is gone. There is peace there finally that is good to hear. Lizzy must adore the way you have been with Mr. Collins. Ah for that you must be relaxed the day they are finally all out of Kent.
ReplyDeleteI am very glad that you are happy that I am gone. But just to tell you I am very happy to be back at home and just to tell you I did have a very good time with you.I had a very great day there.I hope to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteLady Catherine,
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish you would take a compliment. Your arrogance and self-importance embarrasses me, especially towards Elizabeth, the women of whom I love. I would not expect another visit from Elizabeth any time soon; I am sure you did a wonderful job of making her feel welcome. And I must say, if Elizabeth is not visiting you, I will probably not be by often either.
